What does Athena connect to?
Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and Bing Webmaster Tools connect directly. Semrush and Ahrefs come in as file uploads. AI assistant visits from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Copilot are picked up from your Analytics data.
Can Athena change anything on my site or Google account?
No. Athena asks Google for read-only access. It can read your Search Console and Analytics reports, but it can't change your sites, settings or properties.
How often do the numbers update?
Every morning. The first sync brings in up to 16 months of history, so you can compare against last year straight away.
What happens if I correct a number by hand?
It stays. A number you fix by hand is never overwritten by the next sync. It's marked as overridden until you clear it.
Do I need Semrush or Ahrefs?
No. They're optional. Without them you still get search performance, AI search, keywords, the writing board, audits and reports.
Who can see my data?
Your private testing copy uses your own database and accounts. People you invite into that installation share its workspaces. The maintainer has no built-in access to your copy.
How do I get access?
Private testers receive the codebase and run their own installation. You configure your own database, Google account connections and users. Request a testing copy to get started.
